It snowed yesterday, is it ever going to be warm again!?!? I'm not too concerned though. It's been a pretty tough winter with ice, continual snow and freezing temps, but i think i'm actually getting used to it. We got to just stick around the house and relax for once. It was great! Although I frustrated Casey alot because he had homework and stuff to work on but I just wanted to hang around and watch movies and mess with him. Eventually my industrial side came out in the afternoon and I cleaned the house ...like scrubbed toilets cleaned the house, and that made me feel good. I was even reorganizing craft stuff in drawers around 9:30pm and feeling a lot of energy to get all kinds of projects done when I realized that I am and always have been a night person!!! Growing up I would get the urge to draw and paint at 9 at night and work on something until way past midnight! Or I'd read a whole book and never put it down until it was done at 2 or 3 in the morning. I love sleeping in until past 9 am and staying up late. Only out of necessity of my job am i able to get up at 6:30 and drive over 30minutes to work every day. this Makes me go to bed at a decent hour of the night but if i had the choice i would love to stay up til late and not need to wake up until 9ish every day. I bet i'd get so much more things done, projects completed, etc. wow, it's been a long time since i've journaled like this in any way form or fashion. i really enjoy this.

Well, let's see here. I get to go back home for Thanksgiving! I'm so excited! It's been so long since I've updated but I get on here and start reading about how everybody else is doing, then i run out of time to update this. If anyone else is going to be in Dallas for the holiday then let me know. Casey is gone until Thursday at a Faith Conference thingy and I am getting so much done around the house! While the Home and Garden channel was on last night  I vaccuumed, did laundry, did dishes, and played with the dog. Today I will probably get some more projects done like Christmas cards because IT'S SUPPOSED TO SNOW TODAY!!! Can you believe it! There's gonna be like 2-4 inches here! I'm going to go to a Bible study with the music minister's wife in about half an hour and then meet a lady for lunch, but that's gonna be it for going out in this weather. Brrrr!!!! To all my Texas friends..... I'm not prepared for this!!! Well, we are doing pretty good here. I'm subbing for a Kindergarden teacher for a full day on Thursday.... pray for my sanity. and curves has been good as well as Little Blessings. I like working at a coffee bar. Well, it's a tea room and gift shop with scrapbooking supplies, as well as a coffee bar but  Iget to stick to managing the coffee and then computer stuff. Well, I'm gonna quit blabbling for the moment. Have a blessed day! God loves you!

This is pathetic that I haven't updated in months. Well, I am now 21. My birthday was September 10th. No! I did not go partying! I couldn't believe how many people asked me that...at church! That's the main place I know anybody. This is such a small town, I know people from the church that work out at Curves, where I work, and stop by this other little place I work called Little Blessings. You'll love this- in Little Blessings its a variety of things- a tea room from 11-2, a scrapbooking supply store, a gift store, and .... a coffee bar!! I could easily get a job at a Starbucks now if our town was big enough to have one. I can use this thousand dollar espresso machine to make cappucinos and lattes, etc. Anyways, I had my birthday during a Beth Moore conference in Kansas City. 30 women from my church went! I had a blast with these ladies ranging in age from me, 21 to 50's! And the coolest part was being able to worship with all of them freely during contemporary style and traditional music. At the end of the last session the worship team ended with singing the first line "My Jesus, My Savior..." and then 15,000 women finished the song accapella. It was awesome!!! Anyways, I am reading this book called Captivating that is amazing and I am almost done. I got it from Michele - our pastor's wife who wanted us to read it together with Grace, the music minister's wife. Well, I started reading it at Curves when nobody was there yet and I have not been able to put it down!! I'm almost done already! I think I am going to give a talk to the youth girls about some of the principles I've learned from it. We had 62 for youth this Wednesday! I couldn't believe it! We were pulling chairs in from different sunday school classrooms because there were'nt enough seats! That was awesome. I gotta get going, but it's great to write down all the stuff that's been going on. Hope ya'll enjoy.
    Love in Him,

  • Wow it's been quite a bit since I've updated. We have just been so busy with church stuff! But what better task to take on than one that has eternal value? I'm kinda glad I don't have a full time job yet. I have been able to help Casey a lot since he's been planning all the youth activities for this summer. This past sunday was promotion sunday and we went out to a sunday school teacher's house for a summer celebration. Casey had gotten a 4 by 50 foot tarp that we used as a slip and slide down the lady's hill in their backyard! There were water balloons, water guns given away, and a sling shot shooting splash bombs over 100 yards away! By the time enough bodies (including myself and Casey) went down the slide we were able to pull up the tarp and just go down the muddy wet hill! The pictures we have of it is awful and hilarious! I still feel like I have mud in my ears! We got to introduce the new theme and logo for the next year to the kids too. It's E3: Excite your life, Exercise your faith, and Evangelize your world. And the logo went on the new summer calendar Casey has been working so hard on; complete with all upcoming events including costs, profiles on biblical characters for each month, and info for camps and the mission trip coming up in July. On a sad note I am still looking for a job, but I do get to work a couple of days this month and four times next month for Curves! I get free membership and a little bit of pay. It's more for me to get free exercise and stay fit, than to bring in income. I'm gonna keep looking, though, so I  can help speed up getting out of debt. Well, I love all of you guys, and hope to keep updating on everyone as much as I can. I usually read everyone else's xanga and don't have time to update mine. As you can tell I end up writing entirely too much and it takes me forever!

About Me

  • My name is Sheri Joyce. I was married to a man called by the Lord to be a youth minister on May 15, 2004. Depending on which day this is, I am still madly in love with this man and trying to figure out why God designed a man and woman to LIVE together, or madly in love with this man and working out the kinks, or madly in love with this man still....
